Florida State Basketball hosting 4-Star transfer center Malcolm Wilson

Sources tell Warchant that four-star center transfer Malcolm Wilson from Queens University of Charlotte is currently on campus at Florida State.

For Queens this past season, Wilson played in 35 games and was an elite rim protector; he led the country with 115 blocks. Wilson averaged 5.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game and added 14 steals.

The 7-foot, 215-pound prospect is currently rated the fifth-best center available in the transfer portal according to On3.

Wilson started his career at Georgetown where he played in two of his three seasons on campus. His best campaign for the Hoyas was in 2021-22; Wilson appeared in 25 games and started 10 times. Though he averaged just 2.5 points and 2.8 rebounds per game, blocks were once again his bread and butter; Wilson had 22 that year.

Florida State head coach Luke Loucks has acknowledged the need for a center on the Seminoles’ roster as recently as his Tampa booster stop on Sunday.

“I get asked 50 times a day like, ‘when are we gonna get a center,'” Loucks said. “I’m working on it. Just we’re gonna get it done, so I’m excited where our roster is at.”
