Florida State cornerback Quindarrius Jones injured against Miami, to have season-ending surgery
Florida State has lost one of its top rotational cornerbacks for the season due to injury. Head coach Mike Norvell announced during his Monday press conference that junior Quindarrius Jones suffered an injury “early in the game” Saturday night against Miami that will require season-ending surgery.
“He’s a young man that pours a lot into this football team,” Norvell said. “Obviously unfortunate news for him, unfortunate news for us. I know he’ll bounce back from it, but it’s just one of those things that it does shake up our defensive backfield.”
Jones finishes the 2025 season with seven total tackles, one sack and a pass breakup.
According to Florida State’s depth chart, a trio of redshirt freshman will back up starting cornerbacks Ja’Bril Rawls and Jerry Wilson this week against Pitt: Cai Bates, Ricky Knight and Charles Lester III.
