The FSU baseball team will be the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional this weekend, but the Seminoles will likely have to hit the road if they make it to the next round of the postseason tournament.

As expected, FSU was not chosen as one of the top eight national seeds when the field was announced Monday afternoon. That means the Seminoles will be on the road for the Super Regional unless Oregon State — the team they are paired up with — loses in its own home regional.

Coming into the postseason with a 38-14 record, FSU will host a competitive field in the Tallahassee Regional. The Seminoles will be joined by Mississippi State (34-21), Northeastern (48-9) and Bethune-Cookman (37-21).

Going into the last week of the regular season, FSU was still in the thick of the chase for a Top 8 seed, but the Seminoles dropped two of three games at home to North Carolina and then went 1-1 in the ACC Tournament.

They are the No. 9 overall seed.

Florida State is making its second consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament under head coach Link Jarrett. The Seminoles finished in the final four of the 2024 College World Series.

All-session tickets for the 2025 NCAA Baseball Tallahassee Regional will go on sale on Monday at 3 p.m. ET on Seminoles.com/Tickets, with reserved seats available to Seminole Booster members and general admission tickets on sale for all fans. If reserved seats remain available, they will go on sale for all fans on Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m.

Individual game tickets will be available prior to each game. Friday’s single game tickets will go on sale on Friday at 9 a.m., with the following day’s tickets on sale the night before at approximately 11 p.m., once that day’s matchups are set.
