FSU lands commitment from international OL prospect Luke Francis

Some recruitments take years to pull off. Some take a whole lot less investment in terms of time and money. That was the case this week as FSU landed a commitment from international offensive line target Luke Francis.

The London, England, product announced his decision after a weekend official visit with the Seminoles, which was hastily set up after Francis showed up and showed out at FSU’s Big Man Camp on Wednesday.

Francis, who checks in at 6-foot-5 and 345 pounds, was so impressive there that the Seminoles offered him a scholarship that day. On Sunday, he committed to the ‘Noles.

“It’s truly amazing,” Francis said on Wednesday of the FSU offer. “The coaches are tough, but not only do they care about you as a player, but also as a person. They understand you aren’t just a football player. They want you to launch in more aspects of life in general.”

Francis was not a complete unknown to FSU when he arrived this past week, but the only other offers he had received at that point were from Syracuse and Georgia State.

The massive lineman has only been playing football for a couple of years and is planning to finish his high school career this year at Coral Gables High.
