FSU Men's Golf among leaders in stroke play at NCAA Championship

CARLSBAD, Calif. –  The No. 11 Florida State men’s golf team is 1-under, 575 through two rounds of stroke play at the NCAA Championship Finals at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa.

With teams still playing through the afternoon, the Seminoles are currently fifth after scoring 2-over on Saturday.  FSU is expected to start the third round on Sunday at 9:52 a.m. ET off the 10th hole. Following play on Sunday, the field will be cut to 15 teams. After Monday, the top eight teams will compete in match play starting on Tuesday.

Carson Brewer continues to lead Florida State, shooting 72 to remain at 3-under. Brewer was out in 35, carding one birdie on the front nine. As the winds picked up on the back of the course, Brewer finished his round with a birdie on 18. He is currently tied for 11th place.

Luke Clanton also contributed 72 to remain 2-under. Clanton nearly sank an eagle putt on 18 from the back of the green to close out the round, becoming the third player to contribute a birdie on the hole.  Clanton is 15th heading into the third round on Sunday.

Jack Bigham moved up the leaderboard 10 spots after shooting 72 on Saturday. He is 1-over for the tournament and is tied for 37th.

Gray Albright saw three birdies on the front nine and finished his round with another birdie on 18 to finish the round shooting 74.  Tyler Weaver also carded 74 for the round and is 4-over for the tournament.

Clanton, Weaver Earn All-Region

The Golf Coaches Association of America announced the 2025 NCAA Division I PING All-Region honorees on Saturday during the second round of the NCAA Championship Finals.

Luke Clanton and Tyler Weaver were named to the PING All-Region Team for the Southeast. Clanton picks up his second All-Region honor, while Weaver earned his first.
