There was the normal work against the scout-team offense and defense, simulating plays and schemes that Florida State expects to see Monday night from Boston College. There were the usual periods of first-team offense against first-team defense in 11-on-11 and 7-on-7 drills. The receivers and tight ends also got in their 1-on-1 work against the defensive backs and linebackers, as did the offensive and defensive lines. And there were the typical individual periods spent on refining techniques and fundamentals. While the wounds were still fresh from a season-opening, walk-off loss to Georgia Tech, there were not any wholesale changes on Thursday to the way the Florida State football team practices or prepares. But there did appear to be several examples of a more critical eye from coaches and fellow teammates when a player didn't execute something correctly.
