Two Florida State Seminoles named to On3 All-Transfer Portal Team

On3 national college sports reporter Pete Nakos released his preseason All-Transfer Portal Team on Wednesday, and two Seminoles made the list — center Luke Petitbon and cornerback Jerry Wilson.
Petitbon transferred in from Wake Forest in January, while Wilson came over from Houston after the spring semester.
“Lot of buzz this offseason has been around the portal addition of Thomas Castellanos, but Jeremiah Wilson and Luke Petitbon are expected to be the two highest-impact transfers on the Florida State roster this season,” Nakos told Warchant.
Petitbon brings two years of starting experience in the ACC to Florida State and has already established himself as one of the Seminoles’ leaders, offensive line coach Herb Hand said on Wednesday.
Nakos believes the sixth-year senior is poised to make a name for himself on the national scene this fall.

“Petitbon is coming off an All-ACC honorable mention season and will legitimately be in the mix for the Rimington Trophy (as the nation’s top center),” Nakos said.
In 2024 for the Demon Deacons, Petitbon posted a Pro Football Focus pass-blocking grade of 89.4 and a run-blocking grade of 68.3. (Anything over 60.0 is considered above-average, according to PFF.)
The other selection was Wilson at cornerback, who Florida State’s coaches say has also established himself as a leader of the defense. Wilson recorded four interceptions for Houston last season, and he also has experience in Tony White’s scheme, having played for him at Syracuse early in his career.
“[He] is tracking to be FSU’s top defensive back,” Nakos said.
