Warchant TV: Chris Thomsen, Mike Norvell on FSU progress over preseason camp
Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell and his deputy head coach, Chris Thomsen, spoke to the gathered media after Friday’s practice, the final open session of preseason camp.
Norvell, who was not scheduled to speak, commented on the quality of work in Friday’s practice and reflected on the progress he’s seen, namely players self-diagnosing and correcting mistakes at a speedy rate.

Chris Thomsen shared insight into his role as deputy head coach. Norvell has an open-door policy with Thomsen and the long-time assistant focuses on practice scheduling and motivating players. Thomsen also ran through the players in his unit and their progress throughout the preseason.
