FSU carried out its second practice of the bye week on Wednesday.

Afterwards, FSU head coach Mike Norvell said the team accomplished their growth goal and focused on special teams and situational periods.

FSU players will have workouts on Thursday followed up by off days before returning to a game week schedule.

Florida State will face Kent State next Saturday at 3:30 p.m. inside Doak Campbell Stadium. It will be first meeting between the two programs. The Golden Flashes dropped to 1-1 on the season after a 62-14 loss at Texas Tech

FSU has won three of its last four season openers, all vs. teams from the SEC (2022 – LSU, 2023 – LSU, 2025 – Alabama).

FSU will begin its ACC slate on Friday, September 26th in Charlottesville against the Virginia Cavaliers. The teams last met in 2019 when the Hoos held off the ‘Noles 31-24 in Scott Stadium. Virginia surrendered 21 points in the 4th quarter in Raleigh vs. NC State in a 35-31 loss.
