Warchant TV: Mike Norvell interview following first Florida State preseason practice in pads

Florida State wasted no time elevating preseason practice by opting to go straight to pads after its two day acclimation window concluded on Thursday; Alabama, who also opened camp on Wednesday, took the day off on Friday.

Afterwards, Florida State head coach Mike Norvell said he was disappointed with the energy in the middle portion of practice but “thought the guys did a good job in their response as we can back to finish.”

Norvell rattled off several standout players thus far and singled out Elijah Moore, Squirrel White, the running back group and a handful of defensive players.

Florida State will open the 2025 season in a newly renovated Doak Campbell Stadium when they host Alabama on August 30.

Florida State’s winter window portal haul ranked 23rd in the nation with 16 additions and 22 losses. The spring transfer window has closed though the Seminoles remain active in pursuing prospects.
