Warchant TV: Mike Norvell outlines expectations, progress ahead of Florida State preseason camp
One week after making his way through throngs of reporters at ACC Kickoff in Charlotte, N.C., Florida State head coach Mike Norvell took to the podium inside the Varsity Room of Doak Campbell Stadium to share his broad view of the program heading into preseason camp.
Norvell emphasized the continued push to find an “edge” and discussed how he had the team divided in groups during drills that focused on competition and winning each rep.

Florida State will open the 2025 season in a newly renovated Doak Campbell Stadium when they host Alabama on August 30.

FSU finished in last place in the ACC and below .500 for the fifth time in seven years and third time under Mike Norvell.
Alabama failed to win 10 games for the first time since 2007, its first season under former head coach Nick Saban. The Crimson Tide lead the all-time series 3-1 including the most recent clash, a 24-7 win in 2017
Florida State’s winter window portal haul ranked 23rd in the nation with 16 additions and 22 losses. The spring transfer window has closed though the Seminoles remain active in pursuing prospects.
