Florida State abruptly ended its spring football season following a fatal shooting on the university campus on April 17. The Seminoles were scheduled to hold a helmets only practice that afternoon and conclude with a scrimmage days later.

On Thursday morning, Florida State head coach Mike Norvell discussed the decision to forego rescheduling the missed days, his big picture takeaways after 13 practices and the roster movement via transfer portal.

“I felt this football team and they way that they practiced,” Norvell said. “We’ve been able to add two additions to the program.”

“I really think there will be a few more additions at a few more positions and (I’m) excited about where that’s heading as we enter the summer months.”

Norvell revealed that the two missed practices will not be added to their practice allotment in the preseason.
