Florida State (3-4, 0-4) commenced game week preparation for Wake Forest (5-2, 2-2) on a seasonably cool Tuesday morning in Tallahassee.

Afterwards, Florida State defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. and players met with the media.

“You have to keep fighting, keep staying positive and keep going to work,” said Surtain when asked about his experience in difficult times. “I think these guys have done that.”

Last Saturday’s loss to Stanford marked the 9th consecutive ACC loss for Florida State.

FSU knocked off 6th ranked Alabama 31-17 in week one and will not play another non-conference game until its regular season finale at Gainesville vs. the Florida Gators.

FSU was idle in week nine and will continue its ACC slate on Saturday, Nov. 1 in Doak Campbell Stadium against Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons (5-2, 2-2) are coming off a 13-12 come from behind win vs. SMU on Saturday.

The Seminoles lead the all-time series 31-9-1 including the last meeting between the two foes in which FSU prevailed 41-16 in Winston-Salem.
