ACC commissioner Jim Phillips discusses state of the conference at spring meetings (Aslan Hajivandi/Warchant.com)

ACC Spring Meetings concluded with the commissioner’s quorum on Wednesday afternoon at the Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island, Fla.

ACC commissioner Jim Phillips said he was “ecstatic” about the meetings and consensus built during the three day event. He also assented to the idea of a presidential sports commission to address the ongoing issues with college athletics and player compensation.

During the Q&A session, Phillips fielded, and at times evaded, questions regarding playoff access in an expanded playoff, the increased visibility of the conference with Bill Belichick in the league and the restless pursuits of national titles and more revenue.
