The No. 5 Florida State football team won’t have Jordan Travis. The Florida Gators won’t have their starting quarterback, Graham Mertz, either.

But even with both teams preparing backup quarterbacks for this annual rivalry showdown, the excitement and drama are high heading into Saturday’s game in Gainesville (7 p.m., ESPN).

Florida State is looking to finish the regular season undefeated and keep alive its hopes for a berth in the College Football Playoff. UF is seeking a return to bowl eligibility and the opportunity to ruin the Seminoles’ season.
