5-star Georgia LB target Tyler Atkinson sets commitment date

The time has come for Loganville (Ga.) Grayson five-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson. The No. 9 overall prospect in the Rivals Industry Rankings will announce his college decision Tuesday, live on the Pat McAfee Show.
Atkinson will choose between Clemson, Georgia, Texas and Oregon. Atkinson visited all four schools this summer.

Atkinson is ready. He has been on a long list of visits. Atkinson has been going through the recruiting process since he was an eighth grader. He’s hoping to lock in tomorrow and look toward winning a national championship with wherever he ends up on Wednesday.

“I’m just taking it step by step,” Atkinson told DawgsHQ last week. “We’re just about to just take that step. Trying to figure out which school I want to be at for the next three to four years and win a national championship.”
Atkinson has a close bond with Georgia defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann. He and Schumann have talked continuously over the last few years.
“Coach Schumann talks to me all the time and the relationship with him is very good,” Atkinson said earlier this month.
