The Georgia Florida game created a moment on Netflix’s ‘Bullsh*t the Game Show* that will make college football fans cringe. You’ve been warned.

Producers (or whoever writes the clues) referenced ‘The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party’ in this question:

“Held annually in Florida, ‘The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party’ is a celebration surrounding what type of sporting event?”

The answer choices:

A) College football game
B) PGA Tournament
C) NASCAR Race
D) Horse race

I could see some justification for calling the Daytona 500 a Cocktail Party, but that’s a stretch. We all know that’s a cold beer event.

If you’re reading this, you probably know what the correct answer is.

I’ve never watched the show, but apparently you’re supposed to explain your answer in a way that makes it sound like you know what you’re talking about (even if you have no clue).

Other contestants can call ‘Bullsh*t’ (hence the title), and if you’re wrong, they win the prize.

Well, the main contestant takes his chances, and takes every college football fan watching on a painful journey of justification:

Connecting the dots from Florida, to the Orange Bowl, to the ‘World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party,’ is the stuff of fever dreams for a college football fan

Rivalry game clues have publicly stumped many a game show contestant in embarrassing fashion.

Take this JEOPARDY! moment as exhibit A, as pointed out by On3’s Ivan Maisel:

Some brainiacs or trivia pop culture buffs just don’t watch college football. That doesn’t make it any easier for all of the Americans watching at home who have their priorities in line.

We might not be able to answer questions about Beethoven’s first symphony or the Kardashians, but by God, we know which teams play in the Backyard Brawl.

The Georgia Florida game has many names to many people. Georgia fans call it ‘Georgia-Florida.’ Florida fans call it ‘Florida-Georgia.’

Everyone (other than school officials and TV rights holders) know it’s ‘The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.’

Even EA Sports’s NCAA Football games in the early 2000’s included the nickname during gameplay.

The Cocktail Party is an integral part of college football’s rivalry fabric. It’s just as special as The Game, The Red River Showdown, and the Big Ten’s unique rivalry trophies (a jug?? an axe??!?).

Not everyone is a diehard college football fan. I get it.

But college football is an American institution. Its sacred rivalry games deserve more respect than this.

Long live the Cocktail Party.
