Early National Championship odds are out for the 2024-25 season, and you guessed it – Georgia is the favorite. The Bulldogs come in at +400 over Alabama (+550), Ohio State (+700), Texas (+850) and Michigan (+1000) according to FanDuel.

Others with odds inside the top 15 include Oregon, LSU, Ole Miss, Florida State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Texas A&M, Clemson, USC and Oklahoma, all at +4000 or better.

Georgia returns Carson Beck – who is listed as a co-favorite for the Heisman Trophy alongside Quinn Ewers and Jalen Milroe – at quarterback, Smael Mondon at linebacker and has added talent around each of the two team leaders. On offense, running back Trevor Etienne (Florida) and wide receivers London Humphreys (Vanderbilt) and Colbie Young (Miami) each are additions from the transfer portal while defensively the Dawgs picked up South Carolina defensive lineman Xzavier McLeod. That’s on top of the expected returns of underclassmen like Dillon Bell, Malaki Starks, Mykel Williams, Jalon Walker, CJ Allen and others that contributed to the success of UGA in 2023, plus the potential return of guys with NFL Draft decisions to make like Nazir Stackhouse, Warren Brinson, Tate Ratledge, Dominic Lovett, Rara Thomas and Xavier Truss.

The Bulldogs take on a tough 2024 schedule in a new look world of College Football. With conferences changing and the Playoff expanding to 12 teams, Georgia’s SEC schedule won’t feature the traditional Eastern Division foes. Instead, in a division-less league now, Kirby Smart’s crew takes on Alabama and Texas, two semifinalists from this year’s College Football Playoffs, both on the road, plus the likes of Ole Miss (road), Clemson (Atlanta) and Florida (Jacksonville) away from home. Meanwhile, dates at Sanford Stadium include matchups with Tennessee and Auburn between the hedges.
