2026 wide receiver Jerquaden Guilford narrows recruitment to final four, sets commitment date

One of Indiana’s top high school prospects is closing in on his college decision, as Fort Wayne Northrop standout wide receiver Jerquaden Guilford has cut his list to four schools and will announce his college commitment on June 27.
Guilford’s final four consists of Indiana, Ohio State, Michigan and Ole Miss, he confirmed Friday to On3.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound pass catcher, who had previously committed to Penn State before decommitting in February, has emerged as one of the most sought-after receivers in the 2026 class.

Over the past two seasons at Northrop, Guilford has hauled in 61 receptions for 930 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging more than 15 yards per catch. Last fall, he totaled 35 catches for 556 yards and three scores.
Along with his production, Guilford boasts elite speed, clocking a 4.47-second 40-yard dash.
Ranked as the No. 427 overall prospect in the 2026 class by the On3 Industry Ranking, Guilford is also the No. 1 player in Indiana. Should he choose the Hoosiers, Indiana would land the state’s top two players in the cycle, joining defensive Kasmir Hicks, who committed earlier this spring.
Guilford’s recruitment has been competitive, drawing offers from national powers including Tennessee, Georgia, Miami and Wisconsin. However, four programs have separated themselves down the stretch.
Indiana hosted Guilford for an official visit on May 2, as head coach Curt Cignetti looks to continue to build in his first full recruiting cycle in Bloomington.

Last weekend, Guilford visited Michigan, where receivers coach Ron Bellamy has played a key role in the Wolverines’ pursuit. This weekend, he heads south to Ole Miss for his third official visit, before wrapping up the process with a trip to Ohio State on June 20.

Ohio State has long prioritized Guilford, with Buckeyes receivers coach Brian Hartline making him a focal point in their 2026 recruiting class. According to Lettermen Row’s Alex Gleitman, Guilford is currently the last uncommitted receiver Ohio State is actively pursuing for the cycle.
Despite earlier momentum for Indiana, the recruitment has tightened as official visits have ramped up.
“I’m looking for the best place that fits me, the best environment that is gonna build me not just as a man, but as a receiver on and off the field,” Guilford told Greg Smith of Rivals.
With his June 27 announcement looming, the four programs will make their final pitches in the coming weeks for one of the Midwest’s most dynamic wideouts.
