Observations of second open Kansas State practice

We share our observations and takeaways from Kansas State training camp practice on our message board at KSO after being on hand for the first few periods on Tuesday. It was the second practice we’ve watched so far this year.
Some of the more pertinent storylines were who was not at practice or at least not participating. A good sign was George Fitzpatrick being on hand (but not working out at all and in street clothes). But a few expected contributors were not active today.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see any one-on-one competitions, 7-on-7 competition or full 11-on-11 scrimmage action at all. But we did see was a lot of drill work where they Wildcats were perfecting technique more than anything.
Offensively, it was a lot of reps between the quarterbacks and receivers working on certain routes (against no defense). Which K-State players were having the best day?

In addition to Fitzpatrick, a couple other players returned to Kansas State practice today that were not full participants at the first session we saw over a week ago. It’s a sign of upward trajectory for a few guys the Wildcats will count on this year.
