Kansas State has pulled out the spatula and flipped a Group of Five prospect.

Weiss, Texas native Jacques Spradley-Demps becomes commitment No. 10 for K-State in the 2024 class. His decision comes one week after his official visit to Manhattan where the Wildcats blasted TCU 41-3.

While he was on campus, the wide receiver saw one of the best offensive performances for the Wildcats. The offense racked up nearly 600 yards against the Horned Frogs and threw four touchdowns. This past week against Houston, the Kansas State offense threw for three more touchdowns.

Spradley-Demps was originally committed to North Texas and did so during June. He also committed to the Mean Green despite holding offers from both TCU and Baylor. Those two schools, Boston College and Virginia were also trying to reel in his services before he chose Kansas State. In total the senior had 15 offers before choosing to commit to K-State.

He was not the only one on the K-State campus that week, either. Spradley-Demps was joined on his official visit last weekend by Callen Barta, Jayshawn Ross and Boone Morris. Could the Wildcats go four for four on official visitors? It is possible. Barta and Morris have already flipped to Kansas State.

A hat tip goes to Kansas State assistant Matthew Middleton as he is now on the board for the first time since being hired in Manhattan. Middleton, along with offensive analyst Josh Buford and scouting analyst Chuck Lillie, led the charge for the first receiver commit of the cycle.

The Wildcats have had a long history of success in Texas. K-State has landed at least one prospect from the Lone Star State since at least 1999. The 2023 cycle saw Kansas State land a trio of Wesley Watson, Kameron Sallis and Daniel Cobbs from Texas. Spradley-Demps is the second Texan in the 2024 class joining Morris.

Spradley-Demps has totaled 598 receiving yards and seven touchdowns this season for Weiss. At a camp in Denton during the Summer, the wide receiver was clocked running a 4.4 and 4.47 second 40-yard dash.

According to On3, Spradley-Demps is a three star recruit and the No. 102 ranked player in Texas.
