1/24/2011 UPDATE: Fan Outfitters College Basketball Contest

by:asdfasdf01/24/11

Another grueling week has whittled away at the field in the The College Basketball Fan Contest sponsored by Fan Outfitters.

55 teams remain unbeaten since the start of the contest (49 if you count only eligible winners).

This weekend contained a full schedule of interesting match-ups and tough battles. Turkey Hunter‘s Iona Gaels fell two points short of keeping their streak alive. Louisville took a deserving L, lasting much longer in the contest than anticipated, and much longer than they should have considering their implausible comeback against Marquette. Speaking of deserving, the Kansas Jayhawks, a program which has never faced NCAA repercussions for questionable actions by both players and boosters, finally took their first loss of the season against Texas. Better yet, Kansas’ 69-game home win streak came to an abrupt halt, which you all know already because you watched Sportscenter to witness the Terrence Jones highlight reel. Hopefully, the Morris twins continue to act like fools but somehow avoid the ‘DeMarcus Cousins treatment’ from the public.
