2023 Champions Classic to be held in Chicago
As we prepare for the 2022 Champions Classic tonight in Indianapolis, there’s some news on the future of the event to pass along. ESPN just announced that next year’s Champions Classic will take place at the United Center in Chicago on Nov. 14, 2023. Kentucky will play Kansas and Duke will play Michigan State.
This will be the fourth time the Champions Classic will take place in Chicago and the first since 2017. Kentucky is 5-6 in Champions Classic games, 1-2 in games in Chicago. Sounds like a great stage for Kentucky’s No. 1-ranked recruiting class of DJ Wagner, Aaron Bradshaw, Justin Edwards, Rob Dillingham, and Reed Sheppard to announce themselves.
First things first. Tonight’s Champions Classic tips off with No. 4 Kentucky vs. Michigan State at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN followed by No. 7 Duke vs. No. 6 Kansas.
