A top 10 high school recruit has made his final list cut.

According to On3’s Joe Tipton, five-star small forward Baba Oladotun has narrowed his group of college choices down to four: Kentucky, Arkansas, Georgetown, and Maryland. The 6-foot-10 product out of James Hubert Blake (MD) has officially visited each of his finalists, his trip to Lexington happening just a few weeks ago for the Blue-White Game. Virginia Tech also received an official visit, but was not included in the final group.

Oladotun, who reclassified from 2027 to 2026 back in August, is now considered the No. 7 overall high school senior in the country by the Rivals Industry Ranking.

It was July 2024 when KSR+ first reported Kentucky’s interest in Oladotun. Still 15 years old at the time, his coaches were beginning to hear from the UK staff. A few months later, he officially received an offer from the ‘Cats, Mark Pope’s first scholarship to a 2027 recruit. Pope extended the offer to Oladotun in person, too.

“I was blown away. It almost brought me to tears,” Oladotun’s father, Ibrahim, told KSR+ about the Kentucky offer. “Everything that’s happening to him is very historic. That’s just remarkable. Kentucky basketball, bluegrass, and all of that stuff are a big deal. It’s living the dream.”

When the contact period opened this past June, Oladotun was one of the first recruits UK coaches reached out to. In August, he announced his intentions to reclassify to 2026. The following month, members of the Kentucky staff paid him an in-home visit before he made his way to UK’s campus in mid-October. KSR+ has more on how Oladotun’s OV went, which you can read here.

Kentucky continues to prioritize a handful of 2026 prospects, particularly with five-stars Tyran Stokes and Caleb Holt, but Oladotun is high on the staff’s Big Board.
