A Cincinnati high school took the Harambe thing a little too far this weekend

Screen Shot 2016-08-29 at 1.21.52 PM Despite the fact that it's been over three months since Harambe the gorilla was killed by Cincinnati Zoo authorities to protect a small child that fell into his cage, people just won't let the story go. Harambe has become an internet sensation, to the point that the Cincinnati Zoo had to shut down its social media accounts and former UK players are dedicating their seasons to him; however, this past weekend, a Cincinnati high school may have taken the meme a little too far. According to a report on Reddit, there were two Harambe "tributes" at a high school football game in Cincinnati this past weekend. First, someone dressed in a gorilla outfit ran on to the field dragging a child and later on, a second gorilla ran on to the field chasing a person dressed in a banana costume holding a sign that read, "RIP Harambe." Hey, instead of making a mockery of the whole thing, let's really let the gorilla (and all these dumb memes) rest in peace. It's well past time. H/T SBNation
