A Daniel Orton peace offering?

by:Thomas Beisner12/23/10
After a year in which they formed one of the most beloved teams in UK's storied history, Kentucky's 2009 freshman class rode off into the sunset on a historic draft night to make millions and live out their life-long dreams (except Jon Hood).  But, the one player whose first round selection was the most surprising evolved into a polarizing figure thanks to an early departure and some fibs regarding finished course work.  Daniel Orton's first season in the NBA has been riddled with injuries and a few D-League performances and appears to have come to a conclusion this morning with knee surgery.  Coach Cal wished him the best yesterday afternoon on Twitter and today, Daniel Orton appeared to offer the closeset thing to an apology any UK fan is likely to get.  Just minutes ago, Orton Tweeted this out:
Man ain't nothin like BBN yall been here for me and I truly appreciate it. I know I didnt leave in the best way but I still love yall too..
So, are we all good now?  Can you find a little holiday forgiveness in your heart?  The world's biggest Power Ranger appears to be willing to make peace (or he's just high on post-surgery painkillers).  Are you willing to do the same?  Or, as one person on Twitter put it, is he just opening himself up for a Festivus airing of the grievances?  I'm talking to you, Mark Hamilton.  Do the right thing.
