AJ Rose is a Minnesota Viking.

After going undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft, the former Kentucky running back signed a free agent deal with the Vikings to become the seventh UK player to find a professional home this weekend.

Jamin Davis, Kelvin Joseph, Quinton Bohanna, Brandin Echols, Landon Young and Phil Hoskins all heard their names called in the draft, while Drake Jackson, Max Duffy and Boogie Watson are all expected to sign deals as undrafted free agents this weekend.

In his time at Kentucky, Rose played in 44 career games with 24 consecutive starting assignments. Over the course of four years, the standout running back totaled 1,971 career rushing yards, ending his career at No. 10 on UK’s all-time list. His 5.8 career average per rushing attempt ranks third all-time (341 attempts/1,971 yards), and he also added seven career 100-yard games. Through the air, Rose also had 30 receptions for 233 yards and one score.
