An interesting comparison
We're less than a week away from the 2009 national signing day that will (hopefully) see UK ink 25 verbal commitments to complete a class that many people are excited about. Rivals has the group ranked currently as 42nd in the nation and the two headliners are Frisco, Tex. QB Ryan Mossakowski and Carmel, Ind. QB Morgan Newton. So, as we get nearer to the signings, people start to get excited and heap tons and tons of praise on these kiddoes - and Morgan Newton is no different.
Over on Jody Demling's blog today, there was an interesting comparison for Newton that I hadn't heard before. ESPN.com recruiting analyst Tom Luginbill called Newton an "Andre Woodson clone, which may or may not be accurate depending on who you talk to and if they've ever watched Andre Woodson play football. Still flattering though....
