HarrisonTwins Aaron on the left, Andrew on the right. It's finally Andrew and Aaron Harrison's turn in the spotlight at CoachCal.com, and Eric Lindsey does not disappoint. Andrew calls their first week on campus "an amazing experience," and says he can't wait to get on the court with the rest of his team. The two say they're used to people lumping them together as "the Harrison Twins," but Aaron admits that sometimes, "it would be more helpful to us if people knew us apart.” So far, the only way we've been able to tell them apart is Andrew has slightly longer hair, but if you read their CoachCal.com bios, there are so more differences. Here are a few things they disagree on: Favorite TV show: Andrew - "Martin"; Aaron - "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" Favorite food: Andrew - Pizza; Aaron - Seafood Favorite superhero: Andrew - Spider-Man; Aaron - Batman See? Totally different. What about their reputation as stone cold killers? Andrew says it stems from the pair's competitive spirit, cultivated over years of being disrespected on the court:
“We grew up in a suburb town, and every time we would go into the city, people would try to take advantage of us,” Andrew said. “My dad always taught me to stand up for myself. No matter who it is, you’ve got to go at it as hard as you can, so I feel like you just have to be fearless on the court and win at all costs.”
The twins say they never considered going to different schools. In fact, Aaron says they knew all along they would go to Kentucky:
We never had any doubt about what school we were going to,” Aaron said. “One of us never had a doubt. We were altogether on the decision.”
Finally, despite their cocky reputation, the two aren't guaranteeing a national championship. Instead, they're just pledging to do their best:
“People expect us to come here and be great players and have high expectations, so we’ve got to come in here and work hard and fulfill expectations,” Andrew said. “If we win the national championship, we’ve succeeded, but working hard is all we can promise people.”
