The NFL Draft decisions are not over at the Joe Craft Football Training Facility. Kentucky starting cornerback Andru Phillips is ready to chase his professional football dreams after four seasons on campus.

On Monday afternoon, star tailback Ray Davis announced that he will be heading to the NFL Draft. Phillips did the same on Thursday evening.

In his first season as a full-time starter at outside cornerback, Andru Phillips recorded 44 tackles and four pass breakups in 11 games. The former three-star recruit out of Mauldin (S.C.) High saw a high volume of targets during his redshirt junior season. Tackling was an issue at times, but the former class of 2020 signee developed into a solid starter and was Kentucky’s top option at slot cornerback.

The former legacy recruit will leave Lexington with 79 tackles and nine pass breakups. Phillips will look to become the latest Kentucky defensive back to be drafted after the Green Bay Packers spent a 7th round on Carrington Valentine last April.

The 2024 NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Michigan, with the first round on Thursday, April 25, the second and third rounds on Friday, April 26, and the fourth through seventh rounds on Saturday, April 27.
