USA Today's Patrick Stevens updated his bracket projections this morning, and says
the Cats will be one of the first four teams out, along with Alabama, Arizona State, and Virginia. Stevens says the Cats are one of three SEC teams on the bubble along with Ole Miss and Alabama, with this as their current resume:
3. Kentucky: Record: 17-8, RPI: 45
Plus: Won at Ole Miss, No 100+ losses
Minus: 0-4 vs. T50, Nine wins vs. 200+
At-large ranking: 39
Next two games: Vanderbilt (Feb. 20) | Missouri (Feb. 23)
The Cats can write their own story with a win over Vanderbilt tonight, setting up a huge showdown with Missouri on Saturday. A win over the Tigers, who beat Florida last night, could be the marquee win that Kentucky needs to secure their spot.
