Another crucial game tomorrow

by:Matt Jones02/10/06

Maybe it is just because everyone has become resigned to the fact that this team is going to lose, but there is very little conversation about tomorrow’s big game against Vanderbilt. It is hard to call this game a “must win” (I called the Tennessee game a must win), but it is extremely important. IF the Cats can find a way to pull it out, and then win the next three winable games (home against Georgia and Ole Miss and on the road at South Carolina), then the Cats likely will clinch an NCAA berth, even if they lose their last three. However if they lose this game…..well it gets tough.

In other news, we are coming close to “Bracket Buster” Saturday, which I will continue the tradition of doing a live blog during. We have also worked out to where we will be doing radio shows from the SEC Tournament which will include a host of interviews and the like. Should be a lot of fun.

Finally, Rob Gidel has said that he believes Kentucky will get a commitment from Phil Jones, the 6’10” Senior that everyone is salivating over. I question whether he is necessary, but given the play of our big men, anything might be better. More updates later….
