Just one day after Ashton Hagans did not make the trip to Gainesville for his team's matchup with the Florida Gators, an image of the sophomore point guard began circulating on social media. The picture, which Hagans posted on his own Snapchat story, pictures Hagans holding a handful of cash alongside the caption "make sure you keep you a little something in ya [shoebox] nobody can touch!!" The photo is "geotagged" with Lexington, Kentucky as the location. Snapchat pictures and videos (theoretically) "disappear" 24 hours after they are posted, but screenshots from when the video was available have now found their way onto Twitter. According to a tweet by the Courier Journal's Tim Sullivan, a University of Kentucky spokesman has said the video is "dated," and that UK's compliance department "has already addressed the red flag raised by the large wad of cash in Ashton Hagans' hands." Any additional information pertaining to the specific incident is protected by the university's student privacy policies, which means the video is likely being dealt with internally. At this point, that's all of the information we have regarding the video. Kentucky Sports Radio's Matt Jones had this to say about it on Twitter: https://twitter.com/KySportsRadio/status/1236720896112500737 This story will be updated if more information becomes available.
