Bam Adebayo is an All-Star. He is a crafty big man. He’s a dynamic passer. He is not, however, necessarily a renowned 3-point shooter. However, he is working hard to flip the narrative on that part of his game as well.

Adebayo was just 1-14 this season from behind the arc, but in the Miami Heat’s last two games, he is a stellar 2-2 from long range. On Friday night, while Texas A&M was hitting their own flurry of unlikely 3-pointers, Bam drained one from the top of the key. It was part of his game-high 22 points, nine rebounds, five stocks, and a smooth-sailing victory over the Detroit Pistons.

Bam’s teammate, Tyler Herro, has missed the game with a foot injury, marking the 10th straight contest he has sat out. There is currently no timetable for his return and will likely miss at least the next four games.

Other BBNBA Notes:

  • Devin Booker helped get the Phoenix Suns back in the win column. His 21 points surged his team past Nick Richards and the Charlotte Hornets 107-96. Richards had just two points but grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds in the loss.
  • It was the bare minimum qualifications, but Immanuel Quickley scored 10 points and dished out 10 assists to record a double-double for Toronto on Friday night, but the Raptors lost to the Orlando Magic 113-103.
  • It wasn’t the most efficient night for Jamal Murray, but he still nearly had a triple-double for the Denver Nuggets in their 117-106 win over the San Antonio Spurs. Murray finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists. Meanwhile, Keldon Johnson pitched in nine points for the Spurs who are working toward the…Reed Sheppard sweepstakes?
