BBNBA: Booker leads Suns over Bucks in barnburner

A very light night of action from the Kentucky guys last night, but Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns gave us quite a show. Check it out.
RECAP
Devin Booker drops 24 in OT win over Milwaukee
Last night’s Suns/Bucks game turned into one of the best contests of the year. Two top-three seeds in their conference playing at the highest level. Unfortunately, Giannis Antetokounmpo went down with a minor injury late in the game and didn’t return, but his teammates still fought to the bitter end.
Devin Booker was phenomenal down the stretch as well. He finished with 24 points on not-so-great 9-24 shooting. In the overtime, though, he made several of the key plays to seal the deal for Phoenix.
With just over two minutes left, Booker pulled up for a runner off the glass to give the Suns a six-point lead. The Bucks responded with a 6-0 run, and with the game tied at 124 apiece, Booker drove through the lane and dished the ball out to Mikal Bridges for a corner three to put the Suns up with under 30 seconds left.

Milwaukee responded with an off-balance Khris Middleton three to re-tie it with 22 seconds left. Then came controversy. On the final possession, Booker took things into his own hands and with the clock winding down he took a fadeaway two with his foot on the three-point line but was grazed by Bucks defenders to earn a trip to the free-throw line with .03 seconds left.
Booker made the first, missed the second and that was it. Suns 128, Bucks 127.
Wall’s Rockets fall short vs. shorthanded Heat
Even though Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro sat out knee and foot sorenesses, and Jimmy Butler out too, Houston still couldn’t come within 20 of Miami.
John Wall had a poor all-around game, shooting just 4-14 for 14 points while also adding six assists. That Rockets team is hideous. Shame Wall couldn’t find a way out before the trade deadline.
OTHER NOTES
Maxey scores double-figures for first time since March. In another exciting game that saw Stephen Curry score 49 points in a win over the East’s one-seed, Philly’s Tyrese Maxey scored 10 points on 5-9 shooting, the first time he’s scored 10 or more since March 30th.
Keldon Johnson has 14 & 6. Keldon Johnson scored in double-figures for the second straight game and started in his 24th consecutive game for San Antonio, this time a win over the Pacers. Earlier in the month, San Antonio hit a six-game slid but since has won four of six and is barely hanging on in the West Playoff picture.
