Billy Clyde's Press Conference Tidbits

by:Matt Jones12/21/07
fadfsf Relatively standard day today at the Billy Clyde press conference. A couple of quick notes.... (1) The injury situation with Meeks and Patterson is better. Meeks had some discomfort in the last couple of days but is expected to be fine for the Tenn Tech game. Patrick Patterson practiced at full speed today and shows no lingering effects from the Houston injury. As for Derrick Jasper, the MRI showed no new damage, but there has been no improvement in his condition. (2) Billy Clyde has continued with his theme of a lack of leadership on the team.....disappointed in Bradley's inconsistent play and hopes that other leaders will take time to emerge. Going back for the last few weeks, the leadership issue is one that Billy Clyde continues to focus in on at every opportunity. (3) Finally, Coach was positive about Joe Crawford and focused on the intentional foul in the Houston game. Said he thought the call was bad and that he was very pleased to see Joe hustle back on defense and make sure that no easy basket was obtained. His only frustration was with the rest of the team, as he was disappointed that when a scrum almost broke out, no one stepped up to defend Joe. I noticed that during the game as well and was disappointed. Got to stand up for your boys.... The Tennessee Techsters are coming........
