Bogans an NBA starter Again

bogans.jpeg From the Orlando Sentinel comes news that one of my favorite UK players of all time and certainly one of the most perpetually underrated, Keith Bogans has won the starting job with the Orlando Magic. Bogans, whose UK career was up and down but finished as the Senior leader on the only UK team in history to go undefeated in the SEC regular and post season, surprised many by beating out Dukie JJ Redick to win the starting nod. If you will remember, Bogans, a second round selection, also beat out former Louisville star Reece Gaines during his rookie season for a starting job and now has taken down another UK rival that was a first round pick. Coach Stan Van Gundy says that Keith is the best perimeter defender on the team (we could have told him that) and a great rebounding guard, while also showcasing shooting skills. Congrats to Keith, continuing the underrated Cats in the NBA tradition of Tayshaun, Magloire and Chuck Hayes.
