Kentucky not among finalists for 2024 prospect Boo Carter

In recent recruiting classes, Kentucky has gone south and made some noise in Tennessee. Barion Brown, Shamar Porter, Destin Wade, and Keaten Wade were all recent four-stat recruiting wins in Greater Nashville for the program. But the Wildcats aren’t the only major college football program that recruits the Volunteer State.
Class of 2024 prospect Boo Carter has been a target of note for Kentucky since the four-star prospect camped in Lexington back in June along with blue-chip quarterback Cutter Boley and other members of National Playmakers Academy.
Unfortunately, Kentucky did not make the cut when Carter released his top five schools on Tuesday. Colorado, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, and Tennessee are out to an early lead in the recruitment of this top-300 prospect out of Chattanooga (Tenn.) Brainerd.
“I am planning to commit next summer. It will be after I take my five official visits,” Carter told On3’s Chad Simmons. “I am open to playing running back or safety, so I am looking for a school that shows me how I can be successful after football.

“My biggest goal is to get to the NFL, so that is important too, but I am looking for that father figure, who can help me with life and who can help me prepare for life after football.”
After the Early Signing Period closed last week, nearly all of the recruiting attention for college football programs is now on the class of 2024. Kentucky will be looking to get some early work done to become a competitor in multiple recruitments.
Get ready for non-stop updates as integral junior days are around the corner when Kentucky will host multiple prospects on campus for unofficial visits over the next three months after the Music City Bowl.
