Boogie Making a Good Impression Early

by:Matt Jones09/29/10
crawcuz Besides the Midnight Madness Campout (which is apparently still growing exponentially), there is little going on in the way of news today. Thus we will cite this article from the Sacramento Bee (a newspaper I never had read, but not am visiting much more) about the opening day of Demarcus Cousins's practice as a King. Boogie, who is seen here with Joe Crawford who is also in camp with the Kings, got off to a good start according to his new Coach: "I came in and tried to soak up as much information as possible," Cousins said. "I was all ears. I wanted to make sure I learned everything so I could be on my P's and Q's when it's time to play." Cousins apparently did a good job of that, as his first practice caught Westphal's attention. Cousins dislocated the ring finger on his left hand last week but practiced with it taped. "I hate to give him a compliment this early, but I thought DeMarcus looked really good," Westphal said. "He's a very skilled player, he's focused, and he picked things up real quickly." The focus of this site all year will of course be on the Cats here in Lexington, but one cant help but be following the guys that just left in the NBA. With the Wizards, Kings, Rockets and Clippers now having daily UK players, it will be interesting to cheer on those teams and have significant UK support from the Bluegrass state.
