Four-star EDGE Brian Robinson is one of the top targets on Kentucky’s defensive recruiting board. The Youngstown, Ohio native has been to UK’s campus numerous times and could be close to making a decision. The race could now officially be down to two schools.

On Tuesday night, 247 Sports’ Tyler Calvaruso reported that Robinson will no longer be taking an official visit to Penn State the weekend of June 16. The blue-chip prospect is looking to reschedule his official visit to State College. That likely means that this recruitment is now a two-horse race.

Kentucky and Michigan are squaring off as the two finalists in another recruitment.

Brian Robinson is the No. 175 ranked prospect and No. 6 recruit in Ohio via the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking. In an interview with On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons last month, the No. 12 overall EDGE prospect admitted that his recruiting process was winding down and that a decision could be occurring soon.

“I feel like I’m a lot closer than I was,” Robinson told On3 about his decision timeline. “I feel like I’m closer, but right now, I really haven’t thought about it. I’ve just been focused on training and getting stronger, faster and being ready to not really thinking about playing, but being close as possible wherever I decide to go.”

On Tuesday, I logged a Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) pick for Kentucky to land Robinson with reasoning provided. The Cats have the ball teed up heading into a huge official visit weekend. Can Vince Marrow close the deal on a top-200 prospect?

Kentucky is on the verge of scoring a huge recruiting win.
