BTI's Rants and Ramblings: ESPN Finally Figures Out Who Stephen Johnson Plays For

by: Bryan1307/28/17
I would find it hard to believe that there have been any starting QB's in the SEC since the internet boomed that ESPN has struggled to figure out who they actually play for.  But that seemed to have been the case for Stephen Johnson.  Despite winning 7 games last season, leading his team to a bowl game, and having an epic performance in the final game of the season, UP UNTIL YESTERDAY if you went to Stephen Johnson's profile page at espn.com the logo attached to his profile was the Grambling State logo (his game by game stats page did have the UK logo but his main page did not). Let's keep in mind that Johnson transferred to Kentucky in January of 2016 and once again, STARTED 9 games last season.  But thanks to Andy Sweeney and Lachlan McLean at ESPN680, the page was changed very quickly once they brought it up on their show Wednesday morning. Is this a sign of disrespect or just some oversight but an ESPN intern manning the website?  I don't know but Stephen Johnson has the chance to gain all the respect this season and I have a sneaky suspicion ESPN is going to know who he plays for before too long.
