BTI's Rants and Ramblings: Mark Stoops Recruiting Profile So Far

A couple weeks ago I put a post on this website laying out the entire Joker Phillips recruiting era at Kentucky. In all, Joker took 67 commitments as head football coach, and of that group of 67 guys, only Bud Dupree has been drafted into the NFL. And of that group of 67 kids, 33 of them either transferred, were dismissed, or never made it to campus. That is not a good record for Joker. Mark Stoops has now had 2 1/2 recruiting class at Kentucky. Of course the Class of 2015 we don't yet know anything about. But just how have Mark Stoops first 2 classes fared at Kentucky? Below are each player from the Classes of 2013 and 2014 that committed since Mark Stoops became coach and how they have done so far. Players in red have graduated.

A total of 42 kids committed under Mark Stoops and only 1 has left the program (Krok) and 1 was kicked out. 36 out of 42 kids are still in the program (4 have graduated), most have seen significant time on the field and the future looks bright for the UK football program.
