Obviously when facing the league champion the overall record is not going to be pretty. That's why these opponents were the league champion. But what is important to focus on is the road record, a paltry 1-9. The only win in that group is the Erik Daniels buzzer-beater against Mississippi State in 2004. Otherwise, UK has lost those other 9 road games by 9.6 points per game. The Cats will need a serious upgrade in performance tonight to compete against a very good Auburn squad. But if you are looking for any good sign of fate, the only time the Cats have beaten an SEC champion 2 or more times in a season without a loss is against Auburn in 1999. Talk about trying to grasp for straws but hey, at this point, anything to keep me interested I am using.
