Lexington's WLEX, Scott County's
Bud Mackey was arrested today for alleged possesion of crack cocaine and charged with two felonies: trafficking a controlled substance and trafficking within a thousand yards of a school. Mackey, an Indiana signee, was electrifying in guiding Scott Co. to a State Title last season, and appeared destined to make a name for himself on the national scene. Now, who knows? Crack. Wow.
Now, this is truly sad, and I hope Mackey will eventually see the light and realize he's blessed with tremendous ability and not continue to downgrade himself into a two bit hustla, but if indeed true, what a horrible mistake. Weed? Maybe you lose your IU scholly but you're still playing somewhere in a couple of years, ala JamesOn Curry (with a side of asparagus). But the crickity crack? That's a straight-to-the-NBA narcotic right there. Sad. Stupid.
