A few pre-IU notes...
- Cal talked about the love being thrown the direction of Josh Harrellson of all people. According to the coach, a friend of his in the NBA said
"I really like your big white kid". Calipari seconded the praise to a degree, but said that Jorts
"still does things you want to punch him in the mouth" for doing.
- Another subject of discussion was the inconsistent and sometimes absent play of junior wing Darius Miller. Calipari said he wants to
see more "wow" out of Miller and that he knows it's there becuase he's seen it before.
- Coach Cal showed a little bit more confidence in his other junior wing, saying that if there's
a key shot to be made, he lets DeAndre Liggins take it. It was an interesting notion, considering the other offensive options, but not one that is new. Cal let DeAndre shoot the potential game-winner in Starkville last season when he was only 1-7 to that point.
- Calipari again openly talked about his
bromance with Tom Crean. I refuse to devote any more space to that.
