John Calipari released the first piece of a three-part series on where Kentucky has been under his direction, where it's going, and what they are chasing. This one, the first part, is called "The Vision of the Program: Where We Started." In it, Coach Cal details his goals for the upcoming season and explains his rigorous new workout routine. "I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this year is going to be a war," he writes. "I like the kids we have coming in and I think it could be another special season for us." Cal then goes on to look back at his first press conference in Lexington, when he first introduced the model of his Players' First mentality. He notes that that mentality is still the same today, and in the spirit of the political year, there has been no "flip-flopping." Cal also reminisces on his first NBA Draft at UK, that saw five Wildcats drafted in the first round -- "one of the biggest days in the history of Kentucky basketball," as he calls it. Then he hits four more key talking points from that first press conference and how none of it has changed, seven years later:

-- Recruit The Best of the Best

-- Not For Everybody

-- Academic Success

-- When You Get It Right...

In closing, Cal drops the mic again, as he did at the 2014 Big Blue Madness: "Let me drop the mic and just say, #NoFlipFlop."
