Cats Lose a Frustrating One: 17-12 at Tennessee

by:Matt Jones•11/25/06
Sometimes you remember that no matter what, there is a special spot of frustration for being a Kentucky Football Fan. It was a solid performance for Kentucky today.....maybe the best of the year for the Mike Archer defense, and a strong offensive performance that re-found the running game in driving up and down Neyland stadium. BUT we still lost, mainly because of red zone inefficiency, highlighted by a delay of game on 2nd and goal at the three. Five drives inside the 15.......12 points. That wont do it on the road folks. Still, the Cats looked every bit the team that Tennessee is, something that I am not sure I have ever seen from Kentucky. And it was exciting and showed just how far UK has come. More coverage later, but for now.....an unfortunate normal UK way to lose, but a very much improved UK performance.
