John Calipari called it yesterday afternoon when he said he expected to get booed during the title game. Right on cue, when Cal was introduced as a 2015 Naismith Hall of Fame inductee, the crowd booed.
"I know I'll be there to be introduced," Cal said yesterday. "I would expect I'll get the ultimate, ultimate show of respect, which is absolute boos from everywhere. And I would say that if I ever walk in an arena on the road in front of opposing fans and they don't give me a rousing boo, I will retire."
He did not stick around to watch the rest of the game.
