Moments after Kentucky Basketball completed a sweep of the field in the inaugural BBN United Tipoff Classic presented by Kentucky Tourism, the event named its Most Valuable Player. Any guesses? Anyone? I’ll give you a hint. He dunked all over someone’s face in the opening game.

You got it! Collin Chandler was the MVP of the BBN United Tipoff Classic presented by Kentucky Tourism. He takes home the hand-painted basketball to commemorate the three-game run, in which he averaged 11 points per game with nine three-pointers. Chandler did his best work in the first two games, scoring 15 against Nicholls and 14 against Valpo. He hit four threes in each of those games.

However, Chandler’s exciting start to his sophomore season will mostly be remembered for that dunk. Let’s watch it again.

Against Eastern Illinois on Friday night, Chandler scored a season-low four points, but only took two shot attempts in 20 minutes played. He contributed in other ways, with four assists, two rebounds, and a block in the 99-53 win.

“We’re pissed off right now.”

After the game, Miochelle Knezovic asked Chandler about the upcoming trip to New York for the Champions Classic. Chandler said, “The next game is our biggest game. So we’re preparing the same way that we have, and we’re going to continue to do that, and we’re pissed off right now. We’re ready to go, go play and play hard and get a win.”

What did he win?
