In news that should surprise exactly no one, Damion James's coach was quoted this weekend as saying James has a top 3 of Texas, Texas A@M and Arizona....and may consider defending champion Florida.  Left out of that list is of course our beloved Kentucky Wildcats.  Now I wont belabor this point.  I think anyone who saw the earlier post on this subject knows that I thought the assumptions, often reaching conclusions, that Kentucky would sign James or at least get a visit were baffling.  Not to go all Jerry Springer here and have a final thought, but at some point Kentucky fans have to accept a reality......

It is 2006 and for reasons that are too numerous to mention (and only are partially due to Tubby), Kentucky is not the number one or even top of the heap choice for MOST high school students in America.  That is not an opinion, it is a fact.  Thus to assume that "any kid would want to go to Kentucky" is simply not true.  Kentucky has to work for recruits, not simply open the door....and there is nothing to say that Kentucky worked for James or that any potential desire they had was reciprocated in the least.
